For those who are new to body building and body building diets a very important factor in building the muscle you want comes from your body building diet. If you want to achieve large biceps and amazing abs it’s time to accept you will have to give up the chocolate cake, crips and macdonalds hamburgers you love so much.

“Why is this. Why do I have to give up the foods I love for a body building diet?”

The simple fact is those foods contain large amounts of fat and empty calories. They do nothing for the healthy operation of your body and fitness. Macdonalds hamburgers for example do not have the quality proteins that your body needs for building muscle.

For your body building diet to be efective you will have to look at foods that contain nutrients and proteins that the body can digest and process easily. Egg white for example is easily digestible by the human body and is a good source of protein. Chicken is also a good source of protein as long as it is not over processed during the food preparation phase. Also it is important to consider a protein supplement to increase your protein intake. Whey Protein supplements are very common and generally heavily recommended. When working out it is important to consume a protein shake between 30 to 60 minutes before your sessions and within 20 minutes after your session. Something else that is extremely important is carborhydrates in your body building diet. For those who do not know what carborhydrates are they are essentially fuel for your body to burn. These are also stored on your body as fat when they is a surplus of calories in your body. For your body building diet to be effective it is important to keep a record of your carborhydrate intake. Especially when your body fat level becomes very low. In this situation insufficient calories in your body will lead to your body burning muscle which you do not want.

At the beginning of your journey to build strong lean muscle you will more than likely not know were to start.   When starting out with body building it is recommended to get good quality advice and support from a personal trainer.   They can advise you on the correct diet and strategy to achieve the goals you want.   Make sure you chose the right body building diet for you.
